A short, practical note for the buyers who make the shop what it is. How the packs work, how the sizes run, and what to order first.
Every season we hear the same question from new stockists, phrased a dozen ways: how does buying from you actually work? So here it is in one place, without the brochure voice.
Packs, not pieces
Wholesale orders are placed by colour, in pre-assorted size packs. A pack is three pieces covering the full size run for that cut, and the trade price you see in the catalogue is the price for the pack. There is no cherry-picking of sizes within a pack, which is what keeps the pricing where it is.
Two size runs
MIDAS is cut in two runs. The standard run is 36, 38 and 40. The curve run is 42, 44 and 46, and it is a separate pattern, not a graded-up version of the standard. Several pieces are offered in both runs; on the product page you will see the full 36 to 46 range listed, and you order the pack for whichever run you need. Pieces cut only for curve carry the range 42 to 46 alone.
What sells through
We are not in the business of telling you what your customer wants, but if you asked us what to put in an opening MIDAS order, we would not leave these out:
- The twin-row button bandsman jacket in red. It is the piece people photograph.
- The crushed velvet oversized bomber. Seven colours, all of them working.
- The scattered-crystal hooded velour set in black, and again in saxe blue if your customer is younger.
- The silver-clasp stand-collar suit in cream. Occasion wear that does not look like occasion wear.
- One suede bomber, either the clasp or the twin-pocket, in brown.
Cloth and care
Every product page carries the fibre content, and we take it from the garment itself rather than from a spec sheet. Care instructions travel on the label inside each piece. If a customer asks you something the page does not answer, write to us and we will find out from the atelier.
Opening an account
The stockist application takes a few minutes. Once approved, the wholesale catalogue opens with trade prices shown against every piece, and you order online in packs. New collections open twice a year, Fall Winter and Spring Summer, and existing stockists see them first.
