Sunday in the Apartment: One Jacket, Every Pair of Jeans

Istanbul · The Apartment September 21, 2026 3 min read

There is a kind of Sunday that never quite leaves the sofa, and a kind of jacket that makes that look like a plan. This chapter is about the second kind.

We borrowed an apartment for the day. Cream sofa, marble floor, a plant that had clearly been watered by someone who cared. The brief to the model was simple: pretend you live here, and pretend you own only one pair of jeans. Every jacket in the collection had to survive that test.

The bandsman jacket

The twin-row button bandsman jacket is the piece that started the whole apartment idea. Two rows of engraved gold buttons, a stand collar, structured shoulders that do not need padding to hold their line. In cream it reads as a uniform for a regiment that only marches to brunch. In red it stops being a jacket and becomes the reason you went out.

Cut short, so it sits at the waist of a high-rise jean. Sleeves that end exactly where a bracelet begins. Available in beige, black and red, in the standard size run.

Crushed velvet, before noon

The crushed velvet oversized bomber is the piece we expect to see most on the street this winter. Seven colours, from burgundy to almond green, in a velvet that has been crushed on purpose so it never needs to be pressed. A ribbed collar, a gold zip, and a shape that is generous everywhere the body is not.

Wear it open. Wear it with nothing under it but a good T-shirt. It is the jacket to reach for at nine in the evening when the plan was to stay in and the plan has changed.

Suede, two ways

The suede-effect cloth we use is a brushed polyester with a short, dense pile, and it does what real suede does without the anxiety: it softens, it drapes, it does not mind the rain. We cut two bombers from it. The silver-clasp suede bomber closes with ornamental hooks down the front, a detail borrowed from an Ottoman coat and made smaller. The twin-pocket suede bomber is plainer, with two patch pockets and a zip, and it is the one you will wear more.

Both come in brown, beige and black. Both look better with the sleeves pushed up.

The military jacket, in crepe

A cropped military jacket with twin rows of engraved buttons and a collar that stands on its own. For the apartment we photographed the crepe version, which moves like a blouse; the velvet version is the one in the shop, and it holds its shape like a coat. Same buttons on both. Same effect: instant posture.

The bomber that goes with the sofa

Last, the crinkle-texture oversized bomber in ecru, cut for sizes 42 to 46. A cotton weave with a crinkle set into the cloth, a ribbed collar and a zip, and a softness that made the model fall asleep between frames. We kept those frames.

Everything in this chapter is in Jackets and Bombers. For stockists, the bandsman jacket in red is the one we would not leave out of an opening order.
